Hopefully My Turning Point

Musings of the Q
YHC shared with the group this morning his very real struggle with depression last year. One of the things that helped pull me out of depression was forcing myself to do things, and being open with fellow brothers. In that spirit, I scattered my name all over the regional Q sheet as a way to motivate myself to workout as well as hold myself accountable to myself. I have Q’d two workouts since my “return” to F3, but I still haven’t quite felt like my normal, ‘old’ self. Until today.

No disrespect to my previous Q’s, but after speaking with one of the Pax post-workout about his struggle with depression, I finally felt like I was back and making a difference. How appropriate that the AO I found myself at this morning is called “Turning Point.” I hope I can leverage this new found vigor into reclaiming some of my old enthusiasm. Just like getting out of depression, one day at a time.

At each point of the death star, 20 reps dealer’s choice. Bear crawl to center cone, 5 burpees. Bear crawl to next point. Repeat for all 5 star points.
