Walk a Mile Warmup

The pax met in surprisingly pleasant weather (forecast called for a rainy mid-40s morning, but we enjoyed a balmy 50 degree gloom in dry conditions)  for a pre- Walk a Mile workout. Walk a Mile in Their Shoes is a local event supporting Sexual Trauma Services of the Midlands, a local rape crisis counseling and advocacy non-profit. The event, to be held April 12 at 5:30 at the SC Statehouse, encourages participants (men included) to walk a mile (less really) in heels to symbolically walk a mile in the shoes of a survivor of sexual violence. More info at www.walkamilesc.com and all are welcome to show up to register on the day. It’s a great event for a great cause, and the pax got their legs and glutes in shape for some heel-toe action later this week.

After the disclaimer, the pax moseyed to the concession stand for the warmup
