Legion Legit

YHC had the honor of being the 2nd Q in the history of Legion.  Every time YHC comes out to Legion, he feels that he has to uphold the vision of Legion dreamed up by Wingback, Heehaw and Chaser at the beginning.  The idea was to have a bootcamp that was more challenging then any other.  Not just with the extra 15 minutes, but with higher intensity as well.  A place where you could go and be sure to get a beast of a workout, twice per week, every week.  YHC and 2 other pax tried to live up to this legacy.

Conditions: 73 degrees and muggy enough to kill a small elephant

The Thang: COP of SSH, squats and merkins.

Marathon suicides (invention on Costanza)

  • Merkins
  • Jump Squats
  • LBC’s

Now that were warmed up the fun begins.  Do each for a minute/flapjack with your partner, 30 sec rest in-between, go through the entire set twice.

Partner 1:

  • Pull ups
  • Elbows to knees
  • Toes to bars
  • Climber pull-ups (#crowdpleaser)
  • Tuck jumps (#crowdpleaser)

Partner 2:

  • Burpees
  • Merkins with plank jack (1 each)
  • Squats (in cadence)
  • Flutter kicks (in cadence)
  • Carolina dry-docks (in cadence)

Head to steps….. slowly.  Next we did some legs and abs

  • 20 Ass to asphalt squats.
  • Squat holds with 10 “bumps” at the bottom (#crowdpleaser)
  • 20 Russian twists in cadence
  • 20 American twists in cadence (similar to the Russian variety but harder)
