Second Anniversary at #TheCastle

13 PAX arrived for #TheCastle’s Second Anniversary Dealer’s Choice. The PAX stepped-up as always and provided a well-balanced workout. Work was done and we all got better.

Conditions – A brisk 48, especially for mid-late April

Turnpike: Opened with the Disclaimer and warmed the PAX up:

  • SSH *15 (IC)
  • Through the Tunnel *15 (IC)
  • LBAC – Forward and Reverse *15 (IC)
  • Raise the Roof *15 (IC)
  • Calf Raises *15 (IC)

Tha Thang:

Kamikaze:  His famous 25-25-25: Run to Guard Shack and back stopping at two cul-de-sacs and the starting point to perform 25 Merkins, 25 Squats, 25 LBC’s . 75 each in total.

Katniss:  Liberal Hill Sprints *3, Plank on Six after each sprint

Wham!:  PAX in a single file line, planking, while the last PAX broad jumped to the front, doing a Burpee after each jump. #Mumblechatter was strong and the PAX were creative, in having the last two go at the same time, but on different sides. With 13 PAX, it was a solid call.

TOY: 30 Overhead Presses, 40 Curls, Cusak Blocks to next stop, 50 Chest Press, Cusak Blocks to next stop, 40 Curls.

Turncoat:  Wave of Merkins to two

Quaker:  Lt. Danger *10

Turnpike:  Iron Crosses *30

Special K:  Special K LBC *15 (#Crowdpleaser)

Lambchop:  Dabo *3

Fudd:  PAX locked-arm sit-ups *15 (#Crowdpleaser, but inspired by the Rocky theme playing in the background)

Selfie:  Spider Merkins *10

Bubbles:  Burpees *2

Grilz:  Multiple ‘Rifle’ exercises for 9 PAX, other PAX put blocks up

I am honored to serve as AOQ for this outstanding group of men.  Each PAX stepped-up this morning ensuring there was time for everyone to lead the group. Thanks to the PAX for holding each other accountable, for posting and supporting #TheCastle.  Special thanks to Grilz for building this group, to McBeal (who we miss) for keeping it on-track, to TOY for his leadership with 2nd F events and to the #Respect PAX for consistently posting and leading by example, albeit a few minutes late.

COT: Counterama; Name-O-Rama, Announcements – #TheCastle Meet and Greet will be on Sunday, April 29 starting at 3PM in the clubhouse parking lot. Details to come early next week. All PAX are invited to #TheMission on Saturdays at 8:30AM. We are scheduled at #TheMission on July 14.
