Sweat, Sand, Reps, and Runs

A day at the beach is one of the best things to cure many ills. But a gloomy morning on the beach just flat out makes you better. This morning, 8 studs from all over North and South Carolina gathered to sweat it out to the tune of 650 total reps and roughly 1.25 miles of mosey.

Excellent work by all, and thanks to some of the Grandstrand’s finest for the warm welcome. Here’s how it all went down…

CONDITIONS:

73 degrees, sandy, and sweaty… but breezy!

  1. Disclaimer & Warmup:
    • SSH x 20 (IC)
    • Through The Tunnel x 10 (IC)
    • Imperial Walkers x 15 (IC)
    • Windmill x 10 (IC)
    • Hillbilly x 10 (IC)
    • Mosey to the beach
  2. Reps & Runs:
    • Do reps at starting point, then run 100 yards & back.
    • Each set starts with 25 reps, dropping 5 each set, but adding new exercises each set that start at 25 reps…. Keep reading, it will make sense.

    • 25 Lunges, 20 Alt. Shoulder tap, 15 SSH, 10 BBSU, 5 squats – Run
    • 25 Ray Charles, 20 Lunges, 15 Shoulder Taps, 10 SSH, 5 BBSU – Run
    • 25 Mtn. climbers, 20 Ray Charles, 15 Lunges, 10 Shoulder Taps, 5 SSH – Run
    • 25 Overhead Arm Clap, 20 Mtn. Climbers, 15 Ray Charles, 10 Lunges, 5 Shoulder Taps – Run
    • 25 Merkins – mosey to beach exit
    • 20 Overhead Arm Claps (IC) – Mosey to street
    • 15 Mtn. Climbers – Mosey to alley.
    • 10 Ray Charles – mosey to lot.
    • 10 Lunges – Sprint to Shovel Flag.
