Boot Camp Work + Relay Race = Depot Fun

17 total PAX enjoy a boot camp style workout along with a friendly competitive relay race. Here’s how it went down:

Warm Up

  • Side Straddle Hops
  • Windmills
  • Imperial Walkers
  • Squats
  • Mosey 1 lap around parking lot

Workout

Grab a cinder block and line up on the track.
Cusack to station 1: 10-10-10 (10 Merkins on block, 10 Curls, 10 Overhead Shoulder Press)
Cusack to station 2: 10-10-10
Cusack to station 3: 10-10-10
Cusack to station 4: 10-10-10

Mosey with block to soccer field

Relay Race

Pax split up into 2 teams (odd birth year vs even birth year)
Both teams built a wall in the center of the field then lined up along the sideline.
Relay had a pax sprint to block wall, retrieve a block, and sprint back.

Odd birth year team won choosing to have the losing team perform 20 Monkey Humpers. Winning team performed 10 reps.

Second relay had pax sprint their block back to center of field, build the wall, and sprint back.

Even birth year team won choosing to have the losing team perform 20 Burpees. Winning team performed 10 reps and took all the blocks back to the block pile.

30 seconds of rest

Counter-clockwise clock work

Next exercise was to imagine the playground as the face of a clock. Pax mosey counter-clockwise to the “12” position and performed 12 big boy sit-ups. Pax mosey a full lap counter-clockwise stopping at the “11” position and performed 11 big boy sit-ups. Pax repeat and continued down the clock “hours” until we ran out of time.
