Blocks, Bricks, and Bros

Shawshank has a plethora of toys at its disposal. YHC was ripping into some meatloaf and decided which ones to use. Tuesday morning would show up and the gang would play with blocks and bricks.

The morning was beautiful, nice temp, moderate humidity. The most surprising feature of all was a dry field…at Shawshank. That’s right, a field, freshly cut, sprinklers had not run, so we had a dry field. The perfect setting for a perfect workout.

1 minute warning, disclaimer, no FNG’s, open in prayer.

Mosey to a field far away and circle up.

SSH x 25 IC, LBAC x 10 IC (forward and backward), Michael Phelps x 10 IC, TTT x 10 IC.

Mosey to another field where, lo and behold, blocks and bricks were already in place for the pax. This was the beginning of a great day.

Pretty simple exercises to remember for 4 corners.

Corner 1 – block work. Curls, OH presses, Squats, Tricep Extensions x 25 each. 5 blockees.

Pick up bricks and run to corner 2 – 15 merkins, 15 lateral raises, 15 bbsu’s. Repeat at corners 3 and 4.

Return to corner 1 and repeat (decrease rep count by 5). Rinse and repeat until time called.

Buzz Saw and Ken Doll led the charge finished more reps that us mortals.

Knozit was next and made me proud.

Doo Dah was ripping through them until something ripped through him. We will leave it at that.

Dunphy worked out in the vest again. He went down with ease on the blockees. Unfair advantage? Yes. Am I jealous? No.

Hash & Rice was in good form. He is counting down the 60 days or so until he can crush an oyster bar. Nothing more impressive, or disgusting, than watching H&R zone out over oysters.

Cheers and Coon Dog did their thing. Mumblechatter a plenty. Coon Dog had proper form on the lat raises which was impressive. Cheers looked like our very own polar bear and he stripped off the shirt before bootcamp.

These men have their own style but, man, I would not trade any of them. Solid group right here and we missed a few regulars as well.

Recover, put toys away, mosey back to the flag.
