Devo –

Philippians 4:13 is one of my favorite Bible verses and has been for a long time: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

This verse number is inscribed in my Citadel ring and on my road ID. There are many challenges that we face in life from hurricanes to family issues to problems at work to BRR races. Each of us is facing at least one challenge right now – some we tell others about and some we would not want others to know. We think that we can handle most of our issues on our own, but in reality we can do nothing by ourselves. Being a Christian doesn’t mean life will be easy – it just means that we have help to deal with these issues. When we learn to rely on God instead of ourselves, then we truly can do all things.
