Not just an opportunity to buy cars at prices that only Uncle Sam can approve. It’s a time when we remember those who died while in service to our country.\nThis year\, it will be observed on May 29th (since 1971\, always the last Monday of May). In honor of those who died making the ultimate sacrifice\, Sawmill pax (host AO) and all of you\, will participate in The Remembrance Ruck. We ask that you post with us and with the name of a fallen military member that is connected with you so that we can honor them. Bring a short bio (approx 2 paragraphs) of that hero. At an appointed time\, we will pause and you will share with us the info on that person\, while the pax performs an exercise. And then we press on! Pax will carry their typical ruck weight plus additional weight (at least 20lbs) to symbolically carry on for that fallen member. We’ll conclude with a Devo and COT.\nAnd then you can head to the furniture store. Maybe in your new car?\nWe’re hoping to make this a meaningful start to an important day in the life of our country.A few items:\n*StartEx 6:00a Endex 7:00a\n*Approx 3 miles.\n*If you don’t have a write-up on someone\, relax. We’ll bring extras to share.\n*2.0’s encouraged! Most of us learned our respect for the military from our fathers. Pass it on!\n*If you don’t have a ruck\, GET ONE!!Nobody ever regrets buying one (ask anyone!). If you have a kid with a backpack\, boom! It’s a ruck. Wrap some bricks in a towel. Thats what the rest of us started out doing!\n*If you need weight\, Sawmill has plenty of Blocks and Bricks. Carry it on your shoulder if necessary.
